Dr. Brenda Rodriguez Alegre is a transgender psychologist and gender studies lecturer, born and raised in the Philippines. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas and lectures in the Gender Studies Programme at the University of Hong Kong.

Her research focuses on Filipino trans communities and queer migration. She has served on the executive board of ILGA Asia, delivered a statement at the UN Human Rights Council, and in 2018 received the LGBT+ Public Champion Award at the Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Awards.
